City News Beat powered by Fresco is for local newsrooms who source local video from phones. This is a brief overview on how it works.
Here's what a FOX Affiliate who used us in their newsroom had to say about City News Beat, powered by Fresco.
As the saying goes, put up or shut up. VICE dove into Fresco use from the perspective of users and clients on whether Fresco can enhance and improve upon the Television station cost structure.
The City News Beat API controls the connection with the phone app user, connecting them to story assignments, managing payment between our clients and our users. It controls distribution to client storage locations like MAM's and AWS as well as across 5 social media platforms and our own OTT CMS, CHARLIE. We built it to be nimble within news organizations.
Our app software was initially created with another name and field tested by Fox Television affiliates. We've listened to client feedback and improved upon its features for citizen users and newsrooms. This is just a progress video - more in process.
Experimenting with NFT's, some interesting ideas happen including this stop motion edit for the "The 5TH Avenue Experience" by Citizen Charlie.
We love new challenges. Let's discuss how to connect your newsroom to the citizens of your market(s).
